FIGHTING ILLEGAL ONLINE GAMBLING OPERATORS just by blocking their sites is ineffective. After all, hundreds of their mirror counterparts appear every day. Therefore, in most EU countries and in the UK there are mechanisms for blocking transactions to the accounts of such operators. There is no such mechanism in Moldova. Moreover, in 2023, legislative norms will come into force, which, in fact, legalize transactions to the accounts of unlicensed operators.
