In Moldova, the volume of tobacco imports decreased by 30% and continues to fall. This was reported to "LP" by the director of "Philip Morris Moldova" Elena Naumenko. And according to the State Secretary of the Ministry of Health Svetlana Nikolaescu, the state budget annually loses about 40 million lei of taxes from the illegal sale of tobacco products. Market operators believe that these losses are many times greater — 140 million lei.
